Pyrolytic cleaning - Smeg's pyrolytic oven cavity is designed to eliminate corners, holes and joints whilst every element inside the cavity can be easily removed: the upper grill has a tilting mechanism, and the side oven shelf brackets can be removed and washed in the dishwasher. Through the automatic pyrolytic cleaning function, all the dirt and grease stuck to the walls of the oven is burned away effortlessly, without the need for detergents, thanks to the extremely high temperature reached by the oven (500 °C)."
